WEIDNER, Harold (1959 – 2016); Passed away peacefully in his Bamberg home on Thursday, May 5th, 2016, surrounded by family in his 57th year. Beloved son of Hildegard and Emil (predeceased 2014) of Toronto. Dear brother of Barbara Ellen (Bernie) of Bamberg and David Weidner (predeceased 1991) (Laura Tremble) of Grand Valley. Loving uncle of Becky McAlister (Ted), Stephanie Ellen, Nicole Weidner and Jake Weidner and their sister Sierra Tremble. Born in Toronto, Harry became a resident of Grand Valley at age 2, when his family moved to the farm. He attended school in Grand Valley and Orangeville. His early years revolved around the arena – playing, coaching and later working there. He was a certified crane operator and proudly worked for Belder Steel Erectors & Grand Valley Crane Rentals for 20 years. He has travelled across Canada and also attended many Nascar races in the U.S. He loved living on his hobby farm. Harry’s free spirited life style changed when he was diagnosed with cancer several years ago. His long time “presence” in the Valley will be sadly missed. A funeral service was held at Trinity United Church, Grand Valley, on Tuesday, May 10th with interment at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Church of God, 9 McArthur St. Toronto, Ontario, M9P 3M6, or a charity of your choice.
