MICHALSKI, Margaret Elizabeth “Margie” (nee Jackson) in her 68th year, went to be with her Saviour and Lord, on January 13, 2016, with family by her side, at her home in Elora. Margie had a strong faith in Jesus, a gentle spirit, and great courage in her long and enduring 16 year battle with cancer. Beloved wife and best friend of Wayne Michalski. Blessed mother of Elizabeth Aguirre (Christian) of Elora, Michael (Jennifer) of Cambridge, William (Gail) of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and Benjamin (Cyndi) of McDonough, Georgia. “Nan” was the cherished grandmother of Ethan and Lucas Aguirre, Nicholas, Katelyn, Matthew and Jakob Michalski, Eric and Connor Michalski and Nathan and Sophie Michalski. Loving daughter of Jeanne Jackson (late George 2009) of Rockwood and treasured daughter-in-law of the late Mike (1990) and the late Wyn Michalski (2006) of Guelph/Elora. Precious sister of Robert (Laurie) of Kitchener, Jim (Linda) of Ariss, Carolynne Askin (Bob) of Guelph, Andy (Nadine) of Guelph, Doug of Guelph and Sheila Jackson-Elder (Paul Elder) of Hensall. Adored sister-in-law of David Michalski (Maria) of Fergus, Diana Cole (Clay) of Burlington, the late Joe Michalski of Fergus (2008) Brenda Montgomery (Bryan) of Fergus, Ted Michalski of Victoria, B.C. Also sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends. Margie loved Jesus, her family, friends and community. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Fergus and worked diligently for over 22 years at the Gideons International of Canada in Guelph. She immensely enjoyed owning, raising and working with her dogs. Special thanks to Dr. Westendorp, Dr. Lund and the health team, doctors and staff of Grand River Cancer Centre and all of the nurses and PSWs who provided Margie with the greatest of care. The family is grateful for the support of Pastor Paul Hudson of Bethel, the constant prayer support from Bethel, as well as the many prayers from family, friends and other church congregations. Friends were invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph on Friday, January 15th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Life was held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 16th at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donations the Gideons International or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
