Grimmer, Peter George

Grimmer, Peter George; Of Belwood, passed away peacefully at home with his wife and 7 children by his side on August 31, 2014 at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of 55 years to his loving and devoted wife, Maureen. Dear father of Kim, Deborah, Denize, Anneliza, Marina, Michelle, and Peter, and their spouses, Don, Matt, Sharon, and Mary.  He was the proud and loving Papa to 16 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss him dearly. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Fred, Steve, and John, sisters-in-law Anne, Sylvia, Di, and Barbara, and by his many nieces and nephews. Peter worked at the Homewood in Guelph for over 20 years, both as a psychiatric nurse and then as a videographer until his retirement. Peter will be remembered for so many things; some of which include his faith in God, the immense love he had for his family, his quiet and humble nature, his words of wisdom and guidance, his love of pickleball, and his natural musical talent. Peter was a self-taught, avid musician who brought joy and light to the lives of others through his beautiful guitar, Hawaiian guitar, and piano playing, which was often accompanied by Maureen’s singing. He was very well respected, valued, and loved by all whom he crossed paths with. A private memorial service was held at his home and was attended by many of his family and friends. His family would like to thank all those who have shown their love and support for Peter, Maureen, and their children. Dad….Life will never be the same without you.
