Wietkze, Adele Magdalene (Prott); It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our mother, Adele Wietzke who passed away peacefully at Bow View Manor, Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, August 3, 2014 in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Kurt Wietzke (1993). Loving mother of Jerry (Ann) of Calgary, AB, Wolf (Lori) of Salem, ON, Roger (Linda) of Gainesville, FL, Marlene of Vancouver, BC, Wilfred of Victoria, BC, Linda (Tim) of Calgary, AB, Janet (Steve) of Kingston, ON; dearest Oma of Lisa, Meggin, Graham, Morgan, Jasmine, Kristen, Kurt, Danielle, Ashley, Tyler, Tyson; Great Oma to Tavish, James, Benjamin and Avery; dear sister of Paul of Kitchener and August and Peter of Germany; predeceased by brothers, Walter and Alfred and great grandson, Mason. Mom was one of the hardest working homemakers ever, loved strawberries and watching her afternoon soaps, enjoyed cooking and had a weakness for DQ ice cream cones, bingo and liked to flirt with the casino slots. She always knew when you were lying and had an uncanny sense of knowing before company would unexpectedly show up. Her unconditional love was too often taken for granted, but there will always be a special place in our hearts for her, and she will be truly and dearly missed. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Memory Gardens Cemetery, Kitchener, Ontario.
