Smith, Catherine Elizabeth (Betty) – Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Sunday, July 21, 2013, in her 84th year, with her family by her side. The daughter of the late Oscar and Gladys Karn of Guelph, she is survived by her husband of 50 years, Calvin, son Ted and grandsons Gregory and Brendan. Predeceased by brothers Doug, Gord, Jerry, and sister, Dorothy. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Eden House Nursing Home for their wonderful care of Betty these past few years. Betty will be fondly remembered for her love of baking and uncanny memory of special dates and events. Friends were received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9. A private family service and burial will be held.
