Mayne, Wilfred John; Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington, Guelph in his 89th year, on July 11, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Helma (Morris) for 65 years. Cherished father of James (d.1973), Maryellen (Gerry) Hahn, Michael (Judy) Mayne, Catherine (d.1956), Patricia (Randy) Berdan, Stephen (Ferne) Mayne, Gerald (Helen) Mayne, Margaret (Bill) O’Neill, Mark Mayne (Winnie), and Greg Mayne (Dara). Much loved grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Wilfred is also survived by his brother Joseph Mayne, sisters-in-law Peggy Morris, Maizie Morris, Marcia Morris, and Mary Lou Armstrong. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Oscar and Bridget (Mulhall) Mayne, brother Austin Mayne, and sisters Blanche McDermott and Clara Forwell. Our family would like to acknowledge Dr. J. Craig, the Elmira Medical Clinic staff, Dr. Donna Ward, CCAC Case Manager, Maria Strickland, Care Partner nurses, Red Cross homemakers, and Hospice Wellington staff for their exceptional care and compassion. Our family has been truly blessed. The family received their relatives and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Friday, July 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass was celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila R.C.
