Roelofsen, Alice; After a lengthy illness with Alzheimer’s at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Arthur on Saturday, February 9, 2013. Alice was born 86 years ago to Hendrik and Hendricka van Harn in Holland. Alice is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Ted Roelofsen. Alice was a loving mother of John (Brenda) Roelofsen of Arthur, Hennie (John) Montague of Welland, Tony (Grace) Roelofsen of Alma, Art (Jeanette) Roelofsen of Arthur, Janet (Ian) Harrop of Fergus, Ralph (Johanne) Roelofsen of Arthur, and Murray Roelofsen of Arthur. She was the proud Oma of Jason Roelofsen, Jeremy (Karen) Roelofsen, Carrie (Ryan) McDonald, Jamie (Tanya) Montague, Michael (Melissa) Montague, Andrew (Amy) Montague, Stacey (Colin) Hutchison, Vanessa (Kevin) Roelofsen, Samantha (Daniel) Roelofsen, Chris (Melissa) Roelofsen, Greg (Amanda) Roelofsen, Jennifer (Mark) Timmerman, Ashley (Matthew) Harrop, Ryan Harrop, Richard (Shelley) Roelofsen, and Sarah Roelofsen. Great Oma of sixteen. Alice was the dear sister of Art van Harn and Henk van Harn of Holland and sister-in-law to Alie van Grootheest and Willie van Lagemaat of Holland, John (Nellie) Roelofsen of Brampton and Helen Roelofsen of Forest. She was predeceased by brothers Rick, Everett, and Bart van Harn and brothers-in-law Jan, Willem, Albert, Gerrit and Jannie. Alice will be fondly remembered for her hard work and quick wit. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St., Arthur on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service was held from the Drayton Reformed Church, 74 Wellington St., S. Drayton on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. Spring interment Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur. Remembrances to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
