Dowling, Mary M.; Former employee of the Toronto Library Board from 1947-1956, also with Guelph Library Board from 1956 to mid 1960’s. Mary was a veteran of WWII and served with the C.W.A.C. Passed away peacefully at her home in Fergus on April 16, 2012 with her family by her side. Loving wife of Brian Dowling for 56 years. Devoted mother of Donald and his wife Karen of Chester UK., David and his wife Maureen of Ottawa, Michael and his wife Tizziana of Whitstable, UK., John and his wife Jackie of La Vena, Italy and Chris and his wife Anna-Liza of Toronto. Dear loved grandmother of Thomas, Patrick (Nova), Mark, Kathryn, Nicholas and Victoria and great grandmother of Leilani and Bradley. Loved aunt of Patricia, Cathy and Debbie. Survived by sister-in-law Ethel Dowling of Scotland. Mary is pre-deceased by brother Rodney White and his wife Phyllis and brother-in-law David Dowling. Mary Dowling was also a poet, painter and active member of the community. The family will receive their friends at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 280 ST. DAVID ST. S. FERGUS from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Friday, April 20th. Funeral service will be celebrated at the St. James the Apostle Anglican Church, Queen Street East in Fergus on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11am followed by interment on Monday at the Dunk’s Bay Cemetery, Tobermory.
