Milton, Mae; The family of Mae Milton sadly announces her passing at Guelph General Hospital on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at age 83. Mae Beatrice Wingfield, loving wife of Donald Milton of rural Acton for 58 years. Dear mother of Donna and John Kingsmill, Gary Milton, Peter and Cathy Milton, Cecilia and Dan Wheeler, Jamie and Ruth Milton, Jeffery Milton and the late Matthew Milton. Caring ‘Grandma’ of 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren with another on the way. Sister of Jessie (and the late John Milton) and the late Gordon Wingfield (Mary Jane). Mae was an active person and loved to get out to a good game of euchre and be involved in the Women’s Institute and the Catholic Women’s League. She also had a competitive edge competing annually at the Acton Fall Fair entering her baking, preserves and produce, but her greatest passion was her family. Friends were received at the Blue Springs Funeral Home, Acton on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 7-9pm with parish prayers at 6:30pm. Mass of Christian burial was at Saint Joseph’s, Patron of Canada, Catholic Church, Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at 11am. Cremation and interment will be at a later date, Fairview Cemetery, Acton. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
