Howitt, Irene; Peacefully at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Allan Howitt (1994). Dear mother of Vivian and Ken Swift of Arthur, Karen and Gord Swift of Elora, Lyle and Donna Howitt of Arthur and Earl and Mary Howitt of Kingston N.S., and Darlene and Rob Brindley of Barrie. Loving grandma of Todd, Rhonda, Andy, Tammy, Tracey, Derek, Darryl, Samantha, Michael, and Sloan. Sadly missed by her great grandchildren Ceara, Hailey, Katelynn, Kyle, Jarrett, Dylan, Luke, Ava, Alex, Ryan, Josie, Hunter, Summer, Avery, Bentley, and Hayden. Survived by her sisters Olive Kerluke of Wadena, Sask., Esther Mills of Endeavor, Sask., and Alvena Oryszczyn of Lintlaw, Sask. Predeceased by six brothers and three sisters. The family received friends at the Crawford Funeral Home, 243 George St., Arthur on Friday, December 16, 2011 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service was held from the Crawford Chapel on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11am. Spring interment Greenfield Cemetery, Arthur.
