Donkers, Joanna; Our beloved Mother passed away at the age of 97 at the Wellington Terrace in Fergus on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011. Predeceased in 2004 by her husband Hubert of 57 years. Lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses: Connie and Herman Webers of Elora, Anton and Anne Donkers of Langley, BC, Henrietta and Pat Letson of Ayr, Oda and Dale Blackburn of Campbell River, BC and Dorothy and Tom Goettler of Guelph. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Don Webers (Michelle), Daniel (Tara) Donkers, Brian (Trisha) Donkers, Mark Donkers, Katrina (Kirk) Johnston, Kyle (Dayna) Letson, Graham (Ellisha) Blackburn, Matthew Blackburn, Meliana Blackburn and Nathanial Goettler. Dearly loved great grandchildren: Malcolm Blackburn, Case and Kohl Letson. Predeceased by her 5 sisters and 3 brothers in the Netherlands. Survived by many nieces and nephews in the Netherlands. Friends were received at the Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus from 2-5pm on Sunday, November 27th, 2011. A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11am on Monday, November 28th, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 760 St. David Street, North, Fergus. A reception will be held in the church hall immediately following the service. If you wish, memorial donations may be made to the Wellington Terrace or St. Joseph’s Church as expressions of sympathy.
