Shain, Dr. Norman James; Passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 in his 92nd year. Norm was the beloved husband of the late Erma (2006). He was the caring father to William, Hugh (Beth), Scott (Gail) and Barbara (Graham). Norm was also the proud grandfather to Kyle, Kaitlyn and Melissa and brother to his elder sister Lynetta Agnew. After service in World War II, Norm started his long veterinary career in Western Canada, followed by many years at Essex Breeders in Essex, Ontario and then joined United Breeders in Guelph, Ontario. After retiring in his 70’s, he took great pride working outdoors on Hume Road with his dog, Bella. Family and friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph, on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 2-4pm. Funeral Service will be held in our chapel on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10am. Interment at Farnham Cemetery, Arkell, Ontario.
