Wanless, Robert of Minto Township – Passed away peacefully at Palmerston & District Hospital on Thursday, April 14, 2011 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband for almost 60 years of Blanche (Judge) Wanless. Loving father of Bob Wanless and his wife Debbie of Holland Centre, Beth Anne Kidnie and her husband Rod of Arthur, Brian Wanless and his wife Theresa of Aurora, Brent Wanless and his wife Tracey of Kenilworth, and Brenda Pfeffer and her husband Kevin of Palmerston. Remembered by his grandchildren Shane and Kristine Wanless of Palmerston, Alicia Wanless and Michael Berk of Spencerville, Erika and Scott Walls of Palmerston, Andrea Kidnie and Jacqueline Kidnie of Guelph, Jennette Kidnie of Arthur, Jeffrey Wanless and Madeline Wanless of Aurora, and Kelsey Pfeffer and Wade Pfeffer of Palmerston; and by his great-grandchildren Logan Wanless, Duncan Wanless and Preston Walls. Brother of Betty Hutchinson of St. Jacobs and Bruce Wanless and his wife Donna of Caledon. Bob was predeceased by his parents Melville and Annie Wanless, his brother Bill Wanless and his sister Bernice Ward.
Friends called at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Saturday evening from 7-9pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Masonic Lodge memorial service was held on Sunday at 6:30pm. The funeral service was held from Palmerston United Church on Monday, April 18 at 2pm. Interment in Harriston Cemetery. Memorial donations to Palmerston United Church, Palmerston Foodgrains Project or Palmerston & District Hospital would be appreciated.
