After a courageous battle with cancer at the Dalhousie Hospital Palliative Care Unit in New Brunswick on January 3, 2011. Rev Don Fairweather formerly of Salem in his 61st year. Loved brother of Ralph (Lorraine) of Salem. Dear uncle of Donna Jamieson, Lorraine Bride, Bill Bride, Ken Polderman, Bev Thacker, Robert Fairweather and Marianne Butler, and great uncle of Amy, Bryan, and Alexanderia. Survived by his brother-in-law Don Bride and Brian Polderman and by many family and friends in many communities. Don is pre-deceased by his parents Morley and Gertrude Fairweather and his sisters Irene Bride and Dorothy Polderman. The family will receive their friends from 10am on January 14, 2011, one hour prior to the funeral service at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME and CHAPEL in Elora. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 11am. Interment at the Owen Sound Cemetery later the same day.
