Maurer, Deborah Mary; A time of celebration of Debbie’s life was held on Saturday, September 19th at Bethel Baptist Church in Fergus with Rev. Paul Hudson officiating. Debbie passed away suddenly as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Thursday, August 20, 2009. She resided in Thamesford and was formerly of Elora. Debbie was always known for her kind and generous heart, especially when it came to animals. She was a long time employee of Cold Springs. Debbie was the beloved daughter of Lorna Diamond of Elora and Harvey and Irene Maurer of Listowel. She was the dear sister of Connie (Gary) Montgomery of Elora, Nancy (Mark) Witteveen of Belwood, Gayle (Cec) Tucker of Toronto, Kevin (and his friend, Sandra) of Elora and Tammy Aiken of Fergus. Trevor, Becky, Curtis, Caryn, Geoffrey, Jason and Jacob have fond memories of their aunt. She was the Great-aunt of Jayva, Annabelle, Colson, Callie and Ava. Survived by her uncle Norman Diamond and her uncle and aunt Jack and Shirley Diamond. Debbie was pre-deceased by her husband Derek.
