Thompson, Margaret Robb

Thompson, Margaret Robb – It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus on July 10, 2009. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Roger Thompson (1987). She will always be dearly remembered by her daughters, Sandra (Rudy Chiarandini) and Gail (Rick Overend) and nephew, Wayne (Diane) Barber. She was the cherished Nana and Fairy Godmother to Mark, Dana (Lee McLaven) and Kyla (Matt Organ) and to her great grandchildren Andy and Elle, Siena and Zoe and Chelsea and Rhys. She was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Stanley Barber and her brother, Alec (Scotty) Barber (1977). Margaret was a fun loving, independent woman, years ahead of her time. She was Guelph’s first Policewoman during the Second World War and always enjoyed and excelled at her various careers. Truly, hers was a life well lived. We will miss her love of life, laugh and beautiful smile. She was our inspiration. Cremation has taken place. Please join us to remember her at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 1:30pm. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Donations, if desired, to Wellington Terrace, 474 Wellington Rd. 18, Fergus, ON N1M 0A1 would be appreciated.
