Payne, Bernard Neil – May 10, 1944 to April 11, 2009. With great sadness we announce Bernie’s passing after a brief fight with cancer. Born in Vegreville, Alberta to Leone Payne of Ardrossan and the late Arthur Payne, he made his final home in Puslinch, Ontario. He leaves behind his loving partner Irene Lapointe and his daughters Charmaine of Kanata, Jennifer of Holland Landing, Michelle of Gatineau and Denise of Fort Nelson. He is also survived by his sisters Marilyn Kirst of Ardrossan, Beverley Sikora of Victoria and Tess Payne of Toronto. He will be missed by all of his extended family including his grand-daughters. Bernie devoted himself for over 30 years to his career with Speedy Muffler King and spent his weekends working his sheep farm in Puslinch. Friends and family were invited to visit the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., in Guelph, Ontario on Monday, April 13 between 7 and 9pm.
