Couper, Archie Mackay; (Resident of Belwood, formerly of Burlington), passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Community Hospital on March 24, 2009 in his 82nd year. Archie is survived by his beloved wife, Irene Couper (nee: Storey) of 57 years. Loving father of Jamie Couper (Manon Robillard), Susan Couper-Bodin (Alan Bodin) and Sandra Couper (Calum MacDonald). Proud grandfather of Carleigh, Liam and Kieran MacDonald. Dear brother of his twin sister, Sheila Dunbar, brother Ian Couper, brother-in-law of Marguerite (and the late Ross) Gibbs and the late Mildred and Alan Wright. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Archie was a long time employee (42 years) of CIBC, and in his retirement the Halton Board of Education. Resting at the Thomson Funeral Home (160 St. David Street N., Fergus, 519-843-2380). Visitation will be Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 11am-1pm. A funeral service will follow at 1pm. Cremation, with interment at Belsyde Cemetery at a later date.
