Magee, James Henry; 85 Fergus, Ontario. Passed away peacefully in his sleep at Groves Memorial Hospital, November 27th, 2008, after a long illness, with his beloved wife Muriel “Rose” of 20 years (Saunders) and stepdaughter Carol at his side. Born at Auburn, King’s County, NS. Son of the late Allison & Gertrude Magee. Jim was a kind and caring person to all who knew him. He loved working in his vegetable garden and sharing with his neighbours. Jim served in the Army for several years then the RCAF for over 20 years starting during the 2nd World War. He will be missed by his brothers, Jack (Maggie), Etobicoke, ON; Douglas (Edna) Magee, Kentville, NS; sisters-in-law Hilda and Jean Magee, NS; many nieces and nephews and family across Canada. Step-children and spouses Carol (Ian Collett), Alex Key (Margaret), Marie Schoenmakers, Graham Key, Vivian Bauer and Elizabeth English, as well as 18 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife of 40 years June, son Gary, brothers Howard and Willis of NS, step -daughter Jennifer Sultana, son-in-law Tony, and grandson Karl. As requested by Jim, cremation has already taken place. Memorial service was held at Bethel Baptist Church, Fergus on December 6th 2008. Memorial donations may be made to Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus, ON or charity of your choice.
