Richardson, Dorothy Alice (nee Anderson) 1928-2008; Passed away at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus on May 15, 2008 with family by her side. After a brave fight with cancer, Dorothy has joined her husband of over 50 years, Bill Richardson (January 2005). Dorothy was the youngest child of Fred and Anna Anderson (Ross). She is survived by brothers-in-law Tom Millar and Charles Millage and sisters-in-law Robena Anderson and Mary Richardson and was pre-deceased by her brothers Lloyd Anderson (1974) and Cliff Anderson (1978), sister Ethel Millar (1994), sisters-in-law, Isabel Millage (2004) and Effie Osburn (2004) and brother-in-law, Harrison Richardson (2004). She also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews, friends, relatives and Bear. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. David Whitecross of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Fergus at Thomson & Collins Funeral Home in Fergus on Monday, May 19, 2008 and interment held at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus on Tuesday May 20, 2008 at noon. Pall bearers were Bob Millar, Barry Millar, Dave McCrae, Chris McCrae, Grant Mullin and Henk Bomhof. Dorothy’s family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to Adam Kelly of Thomson & Collins, Rev. David Whitecross and the St. Andrew’s church ladies for their assistance in our time of mourning. Donations in Dorothy’s memory may still be made to Groves Memorial Building Fund, Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or the Fergus Cancer Society Volunteer Drivers.
