Hillis, Carl Henry; Peacefully on February 14th, 2008 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, Ontario, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Ruth. Loving father of Carol Anne (Frank Wilson), Dianne Campbell (Peter Zabielski), Jim (Chantal) and Karen (Brent Bowen). Proud grandfather of nine grandchildren (Lucas predeceased 2004). Cherished brother of Roy (Laura), Dorelle (Bruce Ritchie predeceased), Bonnie (Bob Gemmill). Brother-in-law to Robert MacLean (Micheline predeceased), Marilyn (Don Ray), Glenn MacLean (Susanne) and Colleen (Jim Thompson) (both predeceased). Predeceased by son-in-law Ronald Campbell (1993). Friends and family were received at Simes Funeral Home, Grand Valley, Ontario on February 19th, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.. A Masonic service took place February 19th at 7 p.m.. The funeral service, officiated by Pastor John Black, was held February 20th at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Donations in Carl’s memory may be made to the Scott Masonic Lodge Grand Valley, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
