Van Grootheest, Maas; a man whose life was characterized by his faith in God, passed peaceably in his sleep December 23/07. He faced a long and painful illness with patience and fortitude, knowing with complete certainty the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. He felt himself privileged to have worked in God’s kingdom as a founding member of the Theological College, Maranatha Christian school and Maranatha Christian Church. Through his work in construction, his honesty and integrity were a “light on a hill”. Very happily married to Klazina Wildeboer since July 1953, his descendants number over 85. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, his race has been won.
