Duggan, (Jack) John Richard; The family of Jack Duggan sadly announce his passing at the age of 87 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital  on Tuesday November 27, 2007 with his family at his side.  Jack was the devoted husband of Jenny who predeceased him on May 18, 2007.  Jack’s illness robbed him of so much, but not his recognition of, or his love for his darling Fina (Jenny). He was the loving father and father in law of John and Gloria Duggan of Gatineau PQ, Mary and Doug Black of Guelph, Joseph and Maria Duggan of Oakville, and Penny and James Hetmanek of Florida. He was also predeceased by his much loved daughter Jenny Jane Duggan and his grandson Michael Duggan.  He is lovingly remembered by grandchildren Wendy and Ray Atkinson, Bonnie Willson, Mark Duggan, Sarah Duggan, Rebecca Duggan-Herrmann, Chris Herrmann, James Duggan, Joshua Duggan, Victoria Duggan, Tiffany Hetmanek, and Frank Hetmanek.  He delighted his great grandchildren Audrey and Colin Willson, Rachel and Claire Atkinson, and new baby Charlotte Herrmann.  Jack was a very proud Canadian and served his community well in many ways beginning with the 5th Field Ambulance Regiment in WWII.  He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 114 and served as Poppy Chairman for many years.  He was a Lorne Scots cadet leader, minor hockey and basketball coach and trainer.  Jack was a man of faith and a lifelong and founding member of Hopedale Bible Chapel.  He was a decorated soldier, humanitarian, champion athlete and author.  He inspired by example and will always be our hero.  Friends were received by the family at Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel 3164 Ninth Line Oakville (at Dundas) 905-257-8822 on Sunday December 2, 2007.  A funeral service was held in the Glen Oaks Chapel on Monday December 3, 2007 followed by a reception.
