Nodwell, John Richard; At Guelph General Hospital on Monday, November 26, 2007, John Richard Nodwell in his 74th year. Dear companion of Kathleen Armstrong. Predeceased by his wife Florence Nodwell. Beloved father of Lorna Nodwell (Trevor Taylor), Karen Munn (Barry Smith), Ron Nodwell and David Nodwell. Loved grandfather of Victoria, James, Heather, Carrie, Jason, Meghan, Emilie, Kiowna, Deric and Danika. He will be missed by his siblings Bob (Sheila), Myrtle Cutting, Howard (Edna), Harvey (Barb), Florence Overland (Fred), Wilma MacDonald, Laura Cook (Bob), Gordon, Marie Hurd (Paul), Al (Nancy), Helen MacPherson and Elgin Brown and his brother – in – law Pat Beirnes. Predeceased by his sister Millie Beirnes and brothers – in – law Jack Cutting and Ray MacDonald. John was a journeyman electrician with the Fergus P.U.C. and enjoyed his hobby farm. His work, farming and the kids were his life. Friends were received at the Thomson & Collins Funeral Home, 160 St. David Street North, Fergus. The funeral service was held in the chapel on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Huntley officiating. A reception then followed in the Fellowship Hall of Melville United Church with interment afterward at Huxley Cemetery, Hillsburgh.
