It is disappointing to read that there are still people who believe the flawed 2004 consensus that says 97% of climate scientists agree that human activity is largely to blame for climate change. It is likely that 97% of people still making the 97% claim have absolutely no idea where the number comes from. If one was to be open to finding out, Google the subject. The mainstream media is largely responsible for building on this ignorance by adding the tag line “and climate change” to almost every natural climate events. Even our federal climate climate change minister believes that floods and forest fires are as a result of man-made climate change. Why would there not be confusion when Obama joyously announced in 2016 that China would continue to increase their emissions until 2030 and only then start reducing. Canada is at 1.6% of the world’s CO2 emissions is not the problem. China is at 29.5%. And by the way, the work of science has nothing to do with consensus. Consensus is the business of politics.
