Dear Editors;
Hooray for Wynne and Lever !
So Premier Wynne sells 30% of Hydro One. Then she turns around and spends $6.7 billion on a piece of Avista, an
American energy corporation that buys and sells all kinds of
energy—our electricity, our natural gas and our oil. Avista, most of the time, buys Ontario’s excess electricity at a discount and then sells it to New York and even back to Ontario.
Disregarding this reckless and fraudulent sale of our electricity, how does a resident of Crieff, or for that matter, any small hamlet in Ontario benefit from this cunning business foray ?
Maybe Wynne’s pleas for natural gas to be distributed throughout Wellington County, along with the numerous letters written by Mayor Lever to Avista, will result, no doubt, in the immediate distribution of natural gas all over Ontario ! Natural gas this year !!! Hooray !!
