RE: Letters “Skip Meat” and “Science, Faith “intersect”. Nov. 27/15
Dear Editor:
The connection between these two letters is fortunate in these times of fretting about global warming and evolution. Mr. Flemming is advocating that humans should skip meat and be more ape like to avoid cancer. Mr. Spencer is concerned that school students are only being presented with the theory of evolution and Creationism is not discussed sufficiently. His concern is justified.
Evolution has being pretty much disproved through scientific methods but here’s why it is so valuable to global warmers.
Man evolved from the ape therefore will devolve at some point. Same with Planet Earth. When the “best before date” is reached ( man ) or imminent (Earth), any number of remedies can be implemented without guilt. Say, restricted use of energy, punitive carbon taxes, population control, unhindered growth of animal predators, restricted movement, concentration of human population into urban centres, limited access to healthcare and replacing evil cars with holy bikes.
Man was created and is at the top of the food chain. As top predator, man is a carnivore. This is evidenced by the Homo Sapiens’ very small mouth.
Apes mouths’ are very large. They are vegetarians. It takes a huge constant supply of veggies up there in the treetops to keep apes healthy and strong. Man achieves the same with a small amount of meat by comparison.
Creation is freedom, hope, wonder and most importantly, Truth.
