Dear Neil Driscoll
My name is Claire and I go to Drayton Heights Public School and im 10 years old. I heard about some water issues in Mapleton. I’ve heard that the old mayor wasn’t taking concerns of residents seriously. I was wondering if you could help people try and not throw garbage in the lakes and rivers in Mapleton because it is very bad for the fish. I think you should make sure that our water is clean, because 5,000 kids die a day from polluted water in the world mainly in countries near the equator. Conestoga lake will look like this if you don’t do something about the polluted water. At my cottage there is so much garbage that we have to take a lot of garbage out of the lake. The lake will look horrible for my mom’s wedding next year.
My final question for you is : Can you make our lakes more clean and healthier? Are you are up for the challenge? Thanks for reading my letter.
Sincerely,
Claire
