Recently it came to light that a Conservative “operative” was sent to a meeting in Alberta with the purpose of recording a liberal candidate’s comments regarding recently proposed tax cuts. After the recording was sent to Sun news it was discovered that the person speaking on the recording was not actually the liberal candidate.
This situation is embarrassing, not only for the Conservatives but for Canada as a whole. These tactics are juvenile and in my opinion should have no place in Canadian politics. Our politicians should spend less resources spying on each other and more resources on making informed decisions in Ottawa,
