Re: MP’s call for ‘balanced approach’…Oct 31/14
The time can’t come soon enough when I no longer have to hear euphemisms the naive use to describe Islamic terrorist attcks.Phrases like:”senseless acts of violence” or “workplace violence”.Perpetrators wearing the uniforms of the Islamic State and making explicit videos of their evil intent are blithely called deranged, incoherent, criminal, mentally ill, disaffected or,my personal favorite, lone wolves.
Omar Khadr rubbed salt in the wound of every Canadian on the day Corporal Cirillo was honoured when he whined in an op-ed in the Ottawa Citizen: “I was mired in a nightmare of injustice”.Cry me a river. You are exactly where you deserve to be.He went on to say: “But this isn’t about me”. You see, his human rights were being violated under the guise of national security and he didn’t want this to happen to “anybody else” which is code for my fellow terrorists.
Prime Minister Harper has manned up and called these acts of terrorism. I applaud him. It’s time we all did the same.
