Re: Cell towers and windmill lights.
I have noticed with great dismay the increase in the number of nighttime lights on the skyline in the Fergus Arthur area. Recently a communications tower located near Arthur has added a very bright strobe light to its compliment of red lights. This strobe light illuminates the entire region during cloudy conditions. Isn’t there a way for residents to be free of this trespass?
It is particularly annoying that so much is spent each year on green energy, and nothing on light pollution. More windmills are under construction in our area. Each one has a flashing light, and some of the energy produced by them will be wasted in cities as light pollution. It just does not seem right that our dark skies should have to be stolen by structures that are so tall they require hazard lighting. I think we can do better.
