Re: Agenda 21 (May 9)
Evidence or belief: which would you choose in making any decision in your life?
Galileo was imprisoned for using evidence to prove that the sun is the centre of our universe, contrary to belief.
Darwin was reviled for presenting the evidence that evolution was how we got here, contrary to belief.
Forty five years ago man landed on the moon and yet there are some who still don’t believe it.
The IPCC Report and the Congressional Climate Change report done by over 3000 scientists, experts in the field, detail the near term effects of climate change, the ones we see regularly now (tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, storm surges) leading to the more severe long term effects (rising sea levels, mass migration, world food shortage). All this is presented with a huge body of evidence… and then there are those like Ms. Henschel who would prefer to believe otherwise.
This is the most serious problem facing the world.
In the Ontario provincial election none of the three major parties mention any of this and thus the media does not cover it, nor ask questions about it. The Green Party does but the media does not cover it.
