Make sure your name is on Voters List

With municipal elections coming up on Oct. 22, eligible voters should confirm they are on the official Voters List for their municipality.

Go to www.voterlookup.ca, operated by Ontario’s Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, to see if your name and other details such as address and school board support are correct. Assistance can also be provided by staff at local municipal offices. Contact you local municipal clerk’s office if you need to add or remove a name, or to make other changes to the information on the list.

A person is entitled to vote in a municipal election if he or she on voting day: resides in the local municipality, or is the owner or tenant of land in the municipality, or the spouse of such owner or tenant; is a Canadian citizen; is at least 18 years old; and is not prohibited from voting.
