Superstars shine bright in New York

Nine members of the Superstars Baton Club competed in the annual New York Championship competition April 27 to 29.

Approximately 120 athletes from the United States and Canada were present.

Results were:

– Mackenzie Fraser received a 1st, four 4th and a 6th place finishes. She also placed 7th in the intermediate Rose Queen and was 3rd in the beginner CanAm pageant;  

– Alyssa George received two 1st, a 2nd, two 3rd and a 7th place finishes;

– Amelia Green received two 1st and a 2nd place finishes;

– Jamie Green received two 1st and two 2nd place finishes. She was 2nd in the beginner Rose Queen and 2nd in the novice CanAm pageant;

– Alexis Herriot received two 1st and a 4th place finishes and was 5th in the Rose Queen. She won the novice junior Miss CanAm pageant;

– Hayleigh Homer received two 1st,  a 3rd and a 5th place finishes. She was 4th in advance Rose Queen. and 2nd in the intermediate CanAm Majorette pageant;

– Jayda Saunders received three 1st and a 2nd place finishes. She won the beginner Rose Queen and the novice juvenile CanAm pageant;

– Lainey Saunders received a 1st and two 3rd place finishes. She finished 5th in Rose Queen and won the novice PT Miss CanAm pageant;  

– Makenzie Worton received three 1st, a 2nd, a 5th and a 6th place finishes.

The duet team of Jamie and Jayda placed second in the Beginner division while Alyssa and Makenzie also placed second in the advance division.
