Firefighters were called out to a small fire at a local business on Aug. 9.
Centre Wellington Fire Rescue Services deputy chief Jonathan Karn explained the call at Almost Anything Wood was “a small fire inside the dust collector.”
Reported as a possible structure fire, both Fergus and Elora stations responded to the call at the Breadalbane Street location.
Karn noted an employee used a portable fire extinguisher to put out most of the fire. There was a small amount of smoldering material when fire crews arrived, Karn said.
Firefighters extinguished the remaining fire and made sure it hadn’t extended into the building. There was no fire or smoke damage in the building.
Karn said the department was on scene for about 40 minutes.
