Two local musicians will be competing in the upcoming Rising Star Talent Competition at the 2018 Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) in Toronto.
Fork n’ Harp, Madison Galloway, 18, and Jonathan Markov, 20, will be taking on the competition at the CNE from Aug. 17 to Sept. 7.
These young performers from Fergus are set to compete on the stage that has showcased and promoted undiscovered talent for over three decades.
As one of the longest standing youth talent competitions, Rising Star receives hundreds of video applications from across Ontario but only the top candidates earn the chance to compete in the spotlight during the CNE.
Fork n’ Harp will be competing in the vocal group of the competition.
Contestants aged 6 to 21 are judged on their natural ability, audience appeal, stage presence and quality of their performance.
