As a result of the Downtown Public WiFi Project, residents and visitors can now connect to free outdoor WiFi in Elora and Fergus downtown cores.
Through the township’s tourism strategy and ongoing partnerships with the downtown Business Improvement Area’s and Regional Tourism Organization 4 (RT04) it became apparent free WiFi was a priority. The service means residents and visitors will be able to find and share information more easily through social media.
It means easier access to maps, directions, finding unique downtown stores, restaurant hours and information about what to do in Centre Wellington will be much easier utilizing the free WiFi. “Being digitally connected is important to many of our residents and visitors” said Mayor Kelly Linton.
He adds “By allowing those in our downtown core the ability to connect quickly and simply, we are making it easier for them to find the information they need to get around CW. This initiative supports tourism and economic prosperity”.
