Council chooses LED streetlights for Tom Street

On June 25, staff presented five options for Centre Wellington council to consider related to the installation of new LED streetlights on Tom Street, Fergus.

The streetlights are part of the overall re-development of the street, which includes service, sidewalks, roadway.

– option one: proceed as per the current design for tom street;

– option two: remove all proposed streetlights on Tom Street from contract;

– option 3: reduce the number of proposed street lights on Tom Street;

– option four: replace all proposed streetlights on Tom Street with 3,000K luminaires; and

– option five: investigate  Independent Electricity System Operator smart street grant opportunity to provide dimming function on streetlights on Tom Street.

Council directed staff to proceed with the installation of 3,000K luminaires streetlights on Tom Street with dimming functions.
