Tour the Trees in Centre Wellington on July 14

On July 14 get out and tour the trees.

Centre Wellington’s first Tour the Trees event is the perfect chance to hop on a bike and join members of Neighbourwoods on a 10km route visiting Centre Wellington’s most significant and interesting trees.

There are also two raffle prizes to be won donated by the Elora Brewing Company and the Elora Festival.

At each stop, riders will learn something about the tree’s biology, the local history, and maybe even some folklore.

This event is being hosted by Neighbourwoods and the Canadian Tree Fund, an organization that works to promote and fund arboriculture research and education in Canada. The Centre Wellington Township and the Fergus-Elora Rotary Club are sponsors for this event.

It is open to everyone, but helmets are necessary.

Participants can meet on the grounds of the Elora Arts Centre, 75 Melville Street in Elora at 9:30am on July 14 for a snack and a bike tune-up.

Riders head out at 10am and the event wraps up around 12:30pm
