The Hennessey Bag Journey is making a stop at Centre Wellington District High School on Sept. 29.
The ongoing fundraising effort started by local youth Hennessey Veit will provide an opportunity to swap or buy items such as ladies clothes, purses and accessories, plus books and other items of interest to kids and teens.
Admission
The admission fee is $8, with proceeds going to the Villages of Hope in Zimbabwe, which helps children go to school, and to support victims of human trafficking through Covenant House in Toronto.
There will be Hennessey Bags for $5, lava lamps for $8, and various garage sale treasures.
Bake sale
The event runs from 9am to 2pm, including a bake sale all day and Victoria’s Pizza at noon.
The project, started in 2016 with a Me to We family event, resulted in a series of fundraisers.
