The Insights Juried Art Exhibition will be returning to the Wellington County Museum and Archives this summer from June 13 to Sept. 3. Organized and sponsored by the Elora Arts Council Insights Committee, this juried art exhibit displays a wide range of original art.
“In its 39th year, this exhibit is one of the largest and longest-running art shows in Ontario,” said curator Sandu Sindile.
“Three-dimensional works, fibre art, photographic images, paintings and mixed media are all highlighted, showcasing the creativity of well-established and emerging artists.”
The opening reception will be held on June 13 from 7 to 9pm at the Wellington County Museum and Archives. The awards presentation begins at 8pm.
As an added feature, the Insights Committee has organized a Walk with the Jurors for June 17 from 1:30 to 3pm. Jurors John Kissick, Janice Mason Steeves and Tammy Ratcliff will share how their ideas and sensibilities shaped the exhibit. Admission for this event is $5. The Wellington County Museum and Archives is located on Wellington Road 18 between Fergus and Elora.
The galleries are open weekdays from 9:30am to 4:30pm, and on weekends from 1 to 5pm. Admission by donation.
