A Guelph woman and Cambridge man facing drug charges were actually in possession of heroin laced with fentanyl, police say.
On Feb. 18 at about 12:30am, Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Douglas Crescent in Fergus.
On May 10, the OPP announced an analysis of narcotics seized in the investigation revealed the substance initially believed to be heroin contained fentanyl.
The initial charges were:
– Natalie Jean Arthurs, 22, of Guelph, possession of heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine, possession of a prohibited device and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking; and
– Jason Robert Bull, 27, of Cambridge, was charged with possession of heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine.
