The Superstars Baton Club competed in Ingersoll at the annual competition on May 12. Approximately 60 athletes from St Mary’s, Arthur, Fergus, Walkerton, Thamesford, and Hamilton gathered for the day long competition.
The teams Splish Splash (members include Amelia Green, Khloe Hall and Millie Schnieders), Grease Lightning (members include Maggie Fisher, Mackenzie Fraser, Annabelle Hodgson, Sierrah Pichette and Lainey Saunders), Bare Necessities (members include Lexi McFadden, Ali Pratt and Kendal Winter), Let’s Twist (members include Olivia Cayer, Destinee Faust, Jamie Green, Diane Mitchell and Jayda Saunders) and Should Be Dancing (members include Simone Arbour, Alexis Herriot, Hayleigh Homer, Morgan Hutchison and Sierra Smith) all won first place.
Hand Jive (members include Lyla Kuntz, Shayla Logel, Chelsea McFadden, Katie Munn and Kylee Pringle) placed second.
Honourable mention goes to 5678 (members include Jamie Green, Lyla Kuntz, Jayda Saunders and Lainey Saunders) and He Lives (members include Mackenzie Fraser, Hayleigh Homer, Shayla Logel and Alyssa George).
The pairs Sweet Dreams (members include Alyssa George and Makenzie Worton) won first place for their performance.

– Mackenzie Fraser received four 1st places and a 2nd place;

– Jamie Green received two 1st places, two 2nd places and a 3rd place;
– Alexis Herriot received two 1st places, a 2nd place and won the basic skills pageant 15+;
– Hayleigh Homer received five 1st places and a 2nd place;
– Lyla Kuntz received five 1st places;
– Shayla Logel received five 1st places;
– Chelsea McFadden received two 2nd places, a 3rd place and two 5th places;
– Diane Mitchell received a 3rd place;
– Katie Munn received two 1st places, a 2nd place and won the basic skills pageant 12 to 14;
– Ali Pratt received a 1st place, two 3rd place and a 6th place;
– Kylee Pringle received a 1st place, two 2nd places and two 4th places;
– Millie Schnieders received three 1st places and won the basic skills pageant 0 to 6;
– Jayda Saunders received a 2nd place, three 3rd places and a 4th place;
– Lainey Saunders received three 1st places, a 2nd place and won the basic skills pageant 9 to 11; and
– Makenzie Worton received a 2nd place.
The duet team of Green/Saunders placed second and duet of Hodgson/Saunders placed first.
The twirlers are trained by Krista DiStasi, Alyssa George and Makenzie Worton of Fergus and by Bailey Pinder of Teeswater.
