Waterloo man convicted in home invasion, sexual assault

A Waterloo man has been convicted in connection with a home invasion and sexual assault here two years ago.

At about 4pm on May 25, 2016 Hamilton Police responded to a residence in the area of Highway 6 and Gore Road in Flamborough – just south of the Puslinch border.

Police say a 911 caller reported that an unknown man had knocked on the door of a home, forced his way inside and sexually assaulted a 15-year-old female resident.

In December of that year, police charged Grant Litt, 22, of Waterloo, in connection with the violent crime.

Last week, on May 10, Litt was convicted of breaking and entering, sexual interference and choking.

Litt, who was unknown to the victim at the time of the attack, is out on bail and is to be sentenced in August.
