Minto Mayor George Bridge welcomed 29 people to the Mayor’s Breakfast on April 13 at Jemstone’s Bar and Grill in Clifford.
Bridge commented on the natural progression of cooperation between the town and the Minto Chamber of Commerce, who co-sponsored the event.
MP John Nater offered his appreciation to the people who arrived to learn more about their community.

Brett Young Seeds has revitalized the property on Mill Street and continues to expand. More acreage was acquired for the Sports fields, park and trails and the food booth at the diamond will be upgraded and steps added to access the ball field.
The mayor pointed out an electric vehicle charging station was located at the arena and solar panels installed on the arena.
A solar project at Greenbush will begin soon.
Nearly 15,000 people attended the Clifford Homecoming with 31 groups benefitting from the $100,000 raised.
Taylor Keunen announced the Minto Youth Action Council earned a gold award for being a Youth Friendly Community with a need to grow volunteers. Minto earned a silver rating from Communities in Bloom.
The reconstruction of Elora Street from Park Street to West Heritage Street in Clifford is a $4-million project to be completed in three stages. Upon completion, it will open up future residential and commercial possibilities.
