The 2018 edition of the Elora Sculpture Project outdoor exhibition officially opens May 6 and will run through October.
Two new sites have been created in downtown Fergus, which brings the total exhibitions in the town to five.
In Elora there are 13 established sites.
The Elora Sculpture Project started in 2011 and has become a popular fixture in the community, showcasing a new collection of works each year.
The featured sculptures have been selected by a jury from entries submitted by artists throughout Ontario.
On May 6 the public is invited to join the project organizers and many of the participating artists for the annual Artist Walk.
The sculptors will introduce their works during a walking tour of the installations.
The walk will begin at 2pm in Elora at the south side of the Metcalfe Street bridge and then shuttle to Fergus.
A limited number of seats on the shuttle will be available to the public on a first come basis, free of charge.
Those wanting to participate in only the Elora portion of the walk can meet the shuttle upon it’s return at about 2:30pm at the Elora Centre for the Arts.

Background
The Elora Sculpture Project is a volunteer driven initiative supported by the Elora and Fergus BIAs and presented with the cooperation of the Township of Centre Wellington.
Funding is also provided by Wightman Telecom, The Vault Coffee and Espresso Bar and numerous local small businesses and art-loving citizens.
