An “intoxicated” and “irate” woman sobered up in police custody recently after causing a scene when staff at a local liquor store refused to serve her.
On March 29 at about 5pm Wellington County OPP responded to a disturbance at the LCBO store on St. David Street North in Fergus.
Police say “an intoxicated female became irate and belligerent at staff when they refused to serve her.”
The 60-year-old Fergus woman was charged with being intoxicated in a public place. She remained in custody until she was sober.
