On Feb. 13 at about 7:45am, Wellington County OPP officers were called to assist someone trying to get two people to leave a private residence on Elora Street here.
“The suspects had locked themselves inside a bedroom and were using the window as an access point to enter and exit,” police stated in a press release.
“OPP attended and the two suspects were removed from the bedroom.”
Police say the officers saw a quantity of suspected marijuana in the room as well as more drugs and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Darren Diljee, 33, of Elora, and Ceilidh Evans, 23, of Fergus, were charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Diljee was also charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.He was held pendiing bail.
Evans is to appear in Guelph court on March 20.
