Highland Rugby Club plans trip fundraiser

The Highland Rugby Club is hosting a fundraiser on Feb. 28 to help raise money for its upcoming United Kingdom trip.  

The under-18 boys and girls teams are heading out on a 10-day tour through England and Wales fromMarch 8 to 18.

The 48 players will have training sessions at the Chepstow Rugby Club, train in Bath and the Market Bosworth Rubby Club (in the town of Rugby), then train with the Leicester Tigers.

Both teams will play games in Llandaff RFC in Cardiff, Wales; Market Bosworth Ruby Club; andShelford Rugby Club.

The planned fundraiser is a wood sign workshop, with all materials included, hosted by Refind Salvage of Elora.

The event takes place on Feb. 28 at 6pm at the Fergus Highland RFC. Cost is $50 per person and a portion of the sales from the wood signs will go to support the teams.
