The Superstars Baton Club started off the competition season well at its first 2018 competition in Newmarket on Feb. 10. Approximately 70 athletes attended this Miss Valentine Twirl.
Individual results are:
Destinee Faust, 8, of Fergus was 5th in solo.
Mackenzie Fraser, 11, of Arthur, was 1st in basic march and best appearing, 2nd in 2baton, 3rd in solo, 4th in strut and 5th in the preteen Miss Beginner Valentine Pageant.
Alyssa George, 14, of Fergus, was 2nd in solo and 2baton, 3rd in rhythmic twirl and 6th in strut.
Amelia Green, 5, of Arthur, was 1st in basic march and 2nd in solo.
Jamie Green, 8, of Arthur, was 1st in best appearing and strut, 2nd in solo, 4th in basic march and 2nd in juvenile Miss Novice Valentine Pageant.
Alexis Herriot, 15, of Arthur, was 1st in basic march, 2nd in best appearing and solo and 2nd in the junior Miss Novice Valentine Pageant.
Hayleigh Homer, 15, of Fergus, was 1st in solo, 2nd in basic march, 2baton and 3baton, 4th in strut and 5th in junior Miss Intermediate Valentine pageant.
Morgan Hutchison, 10, of Arthur, was 5th in strut, 6th in 2baton, 8th in basic march and 9th in solo.
Lyla Kuntz, 9, of Walkerton was 2nd in strut and solo and won the juvenile Miss Beginner Valentine Pageant.
Shayla Logel, 13, of Elora, was 1st in basic march, strut and solo, 2nd in best appearing and 2baton and won the junior Miss Beginner Valentine Pageant.
Chelsea McFadden, 10, of Fergus, was 3rd in best appearing and basic march, 7th in solo, 8th in 2baton and 4th in the preteen Miss Novice Valentine Pageant.
Diane Mitchell, 8, of Fergus, was 3rd in solo.
Elsie Post, 12, of Arthur, was 1st in x-strut, solo, 2baton and rhythmic twirl. She won the preteen Miss Valentine Pageant the preteen Valentine Cup.
Jayda Saunders, 8, of Fergus, was 1st in solo, 2nd in best appearing, basic march and strut and won the juvenile Miss Novice Valentine Pageant.
Lainey Saunders, 11, of Fergus, was 1st in solo, 2nd in basic march, 4th in best appearing, 7th in 2baton and 3rd in the preteen Miss Novice Valentine Pageant.
Makenzie Worton, 16, of Fergus, was 2nd in strut, 3rd in 2baton, rhythmic twirl, 5th in solo and 3rd the senior Miss Valentine Pageant.
The duet team of Green and Jayda Saunders won the novice duet division and the team of Annabelle Hodgson and Lainey Saunders won their novice duet division.
George and Worton placed 3rd in the advance duet division.
The teams 5678 (members are Jamie Green, Kuntz, Jayda Saunders and Lainey Saunders) placed 1st and He Lives (members are Fraser, George, Homer and Logel).
